What are the Best Anxiety Books for Teenagers?

I am frequently asked by parents for book recommendations for their teenagers struggling with anxiety. Reading books can be a great way for teens to manage their anxiety. There are many books available that address anxiety in a relatable and helpful way, offering practical advice and coping strategies. These books can help teens understand that they are not alone in their struggles and provide a sense of comfort and reassurance.     This book is one of my favorite Anxiety Books for Teens. It contains a series of activities for teens to help them learn to cope with and reduce anxiety.

  • My Anxious Mind.

    This book walks teens through both being able to recognize their anxiety, and how to cope with and reduce that anxiety.

  • Don’t Feed the Monkey Mind.

    This book also targeted to adults, goes through therapy-based techniques to help stop the cycle of fear/worry/anxiety.

The DBT Skills Workbook helps teens to build real-life skills to overcome panic and anxiety. Teens will explore ways to manage test anxiety, social stress, and anger management skills.

  • My Emotions: A Journal for Teens

     

    Juggling emotions is complicated, especially for teens. In My Emotions, teens learn to journal and reflect on their feelings. They’ll learn mindfulness techniques to help with anxiety and enjoy a variety of exercises like drawing and writing prompts.
